Prof. Maykel Courel-Piedrahita from University of Guadalajara,  Mexico


Research Area:

- Solar cell simulation and modeling 

- Quantum well and superlattice solar cell modeling 

- Semiconductor materials and solar cells 

- Physics of solid state and devices 

- Material processing by physical (thermal evaporation, close spaced vacuum transport, sputtering) and chemical (spray-pyrolysis) routes.

Degree: Doctorate in Mathematical-Physical Sciences (Doctorate with honor recognition)   Thesis: “Study of physical properties of spray-deposited Cu2ZnSnS4 thin films and their influence on solar cell performance". Institution: Higher School in Physics and Mathematics, National Polytechnic Institute. Mexico Date: 12 May 2016. (4 years program: from August 2012 to August 2016) 

 

Degree: Master in Materials Science. Thesis: “Modeling AlGaAs p-i-n solar cells with superlattices in the intrinsic region". Institution: Institute of Science and Technology of Materials (IMRE). University of Havana. Cuba Date: September 2011. (2 years program)
