Research experience:

Dr. Deepak Dubal is currently working as Australian Future Fellow at school of Chemical Engineering, University of Adelaide, Australia. He received his PhD in 2011 from Shivaji University Kolhapur, India and joined as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea. In 2012, he was awarded prestigious “Alexander von Humboldt” fellowship to work at Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany. He is also a recipient of “Marie-Curie” fellowship in 2014 to join Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology ICN2 (CSIC-BIST), Spain. His research expertise is in design and development of multifunctional hybrid materials for clean energy conversion and storage technologies with special focus on supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, Li-ion capacitors and electrochemical flow cells. He has also participated as founding partner of Earthdas graphene mobility spin-off Company. He is scientific editor of the book ‘‘Metal Oxides in Supercapacitors” D. P. Dubal, P. Gomez-Romero (Eds.) (Elsevier-2017) and member of Editorial board Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group). He was selected as Young Scientist to attend the 63rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in 2013, Germany and recently nominated in top four young scientists for USERN Prize-2017. In 2018, Dr. Deepak has been elected as “Foreign Young Research Associate” of Maharashtra Academy of Sciences, India. So far, he made a genuine contribution to science with 79% of publications being in Q1 journals in the field (source: Clarivate Incites). With a Category Normalized Citation Impact (CNCI) of 2.4 computed through InCites, his performance as a researcher is considered twice the world’s average in his field. As on February 2018, his 6 papers are marked as Highly Cited Papers on Web of Science (WoS) as they received enough citations as of September/October 2017 to place them in the top 1% of their academic fields based on a highly cited threshold for the field and publication year.
