Sina Mohsenian is a research fellow at Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA. He was educated in Physics (2005-2010) at the University of Mazandaran, Babolsar, Iran, in his undergraduate program. He received his master’s degree in Plasma Engineering (2010-2012) at Laser and Plasma Institute of Shahid Beheshti University (LPI-SBU), Tehran, Iran. After graduating from master’s degree, he continued working at LPI-SBU as a researcher. During his career at LPI-SBU, he performed some research projects on some applications of thermal plasma sources such as conversion of polymer wastes to fuel gas and carbon nano-structured byproducts, thermal plasma spray of ceramics on metal surfaces, etc. He is currently working at Umass Lowell in his doctoral program on solar radiation and microwave plasma source for converting abundant low value feedstock, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and water to fuels, chemicals and nano-structures.
