Raza have published more than 110 research papers in international reviewed journals with total SCI impact factor about 430 and total citations more than 1700, e.g. 1) Energy Environ Sci (2011), 2) Adv. After completion of PhD work, Dr. Raza started as a researcher in KTH under the Swedish Research Council project, known as Energy researcher, Dr. Raza has shown his desire and ability of quickly grasping new knowledge in a grand new field, other than fuel cell in 12 years of research career. He has been working on several multidisciplinary projects regarding “Energy conversion & Energy storage devices (Fuel cells, Solar cells, Batteries, Supercapacitor)” in a variety of applications, including distributed and stationary power, cogeneration, transportation, and small scale portable power applications.
Currently he is an assistant professor and head of Clean Energy Research Group with 10 members and graduate students in wide cooperation with surrounding university staff and researchers. At this moment, 3 PhD projects are going on under Dr Raza supervision at Pakistan and one joint PhD in KTH under co-supervision, 1) Biogas based fuel cells, 2) Direct liquid fuel cells, and 3) Direct carbon fuel cells. In addition to PhD projects, Raza has supervised 10 MS/BS international students and more than 20 MS/BS students at national level projects.
Dr Raza has also established a well-equipped Fuel cell research laboratory. It is one of the earliest fuel cell research Laboratory in Pakistan. The R&D activities of laboratory are mainly focused on the engineering fundamentals of advanced materials, core components, system integration, and process control in the areas of fuel cells and solar cells. He has visited USA, UK, Sweden, France, Portugal, Italy, Latvia, Finland, Poland, Netherland, Belgium, Spain, Singapore, Czech Republic, and China for conferences and Professional Societies’ meetings.
He received some of the remarkable awards world over; for example, he has won the competition idea to product “I2P ® Stockholm-2011” He has received many other awards, namely: NANOSMAT 2009 Rome, Italy, Best “Elevator Pitch”, CIIT and PCST research productivity award-2011, 2012,2013,2014 and Best Performance Award from the “GETT Fuel cells AB.
Raza has collaboration with many international Universities e.g. KTH (Sweden), Aalto University (Finland), UCL (UK, University of South Florida (USA), Nigde University (Turkey), University of Minho (Portugal), Tianjin University (China). Along with his teaching and research supervising responsibilities, he is also working as the reviewer of many international Journals e.g. JPS, IJHE, JNN, Ionics, Meccanica, IJER,ACS and RSC etc
